Another Cancer Episode

I think as I get older I am going to have to get used to being poked, prodded and cut into more often, but I guess it could be worse. About a year ago I had MOHS Surgery to remove some skin cancer on my temple and it seemed to go well, but they wanted me to come back in a year to do a complete skin survey. Sure enough they found two more to remove and told me to come back in another year. Any guesses what they will find then? Actually it's not too bad (considering what it could become if ignored) and this time they didn't even need to cut it out. They just froze one and did what they called scrape and burn on one in the middle of my chest. It went well (until the next day or two), but then it really hurt and got red. I am going to wait a little longer to see if it improves without going back in. How about you? Is age taking it's toll?

I am glad they are finding them and removing them. I too have that same condition and cannot get proper care. I am terrified of what it will develop into if I am unable to find a decent dermo doc. Yes these things happen with age. And yes, it is taking a big toll on me more than should be necessary because of stressing due to their incompetence and neglect.

I feel fortunate to have Kaiser and have had the experience of getting a Doctor that just seems to be putting in his time, but it's also very easy to switch and I have a few times.

I wonder what it looks like to know that this type of skin is bad and this type is good. I am a bit conscious since I do have a lot of moles all over my body and is wondering if this are good old mole or not.

They need to do a biopsy, where they cut out some tissue and send it to a lab. I can't tell which ones are suspicious, but my dermatologist can
