Judy Karamessinis Gunn can thank New Jersey Transit Conductor Howard Kempton for showing some compassion to stop train traffic on the Morris and Essex line tracks near the South Orange station on Wednesday when he saw a dog running on the railroad tracks. The dog who answers to the name of Shelby managed to run away from her owner when the leash that she had on her neck had broken. The dog ran away in the South Mountain Reservation and had been lost for two hours until she reunited with her owner at the Summit station. Howard had used his tie to use it as a leash to get the dog inside the train. The dog had an identification tag on her collar which made it easy for Kempton to contact Judy to come pick up her dog

That is one thing of dogs that knock me down. They like to go where they please sometimes.
