Thanks to the efforts of New Brunswick (New Jersey) Police Officer Anthony Torres and a handful of strangers who assisted him to free two women who were trapped inside a burning auto that hit a tree on Wednesday from losing their lives.
Officer Torres was at a traffic signal on Route 130 when he saw about six persons running toward a Honda SUV that went out of control and struck a tree when he answered the call of duty.
Thanks to the efforts of Officer Torres and Joshua Sandoval who along with five other persons, managed to get the two women out of the auto that was getting ready to be engulfed in flames.
The conditions of both women who were able to escape thanks to the actions of the police officer and the strangers who assisted them is not clear at this time.
