Handkerchief— One thing that I won’t leave without

If there’s another thing that I wouldn’t leave without aside from other essentials it is handkerchief. It is part of my life but out of being careless, I forgotten to bring it for quite few occasions. I consider it my best buddy because there’s really that private connection whatever those emotions could be. Photo Credit: pixabay.com

I only use paper hankies. I have a packet in each handbag.

I'm not used to it. It's nice though because you no longer wash it. Isn't is costly a bit?

@ZedSmart A paper hankie is much more hygienic than a cloth one especially when you have a cold. You use it once and then throw it away. I rarely need to blow my nose, so paper hankies are not costly for me. When I have a severe running nose, I use a paper roll for the kitchen. :-)

I feel you. I too feel the same way. My day is not complete if I don't have one.

I prefer the bigger ones like a scarf, it has a lot of uses especially in first aide, as a sling, bandage, head cover.. Just to name a few but I also don't leave the handkerchief you described so I always carry both.

@ZedSmart I also sweat a lot so a small hanky is not enough for me.

Me too. I feel lost when I don't have a new handkerchief with me every morning when I report to work. I would use a tissue but I still want a handkerchief. I have lost some, but have more than 30 of it still. I enjoy buying one or two whenever I go to the department store.

@ZedSmart Yes, that is true. I prefer the cloth handkerchief, specifically the soft cotton ones.

It really depends on ones preference because others like the paper hankies than the cloth one. I still prefer the cloth one.

I've always carried a hanky with me until I was in my late 20's. However, my hanky was replaced by wet wipes and tissue when I became a mom. I should remember to go back to may handkerchief days because hankies are such a comfort to me.

I think that it's economical although we should keep it clean after use.
