Have you seen a flashmob?

Shhhh, it's a secret ! I'm going to be part of a flash mob on Halloween day.
Well MyLot, I think I can tell you, since none of you fine people are local. Unfortunately, since I would love to hang out with many of you.
For those who don't know - a flash mob is a (seemingly) random big group dance done in a public place. Sometimes this isn't "checked out" with the place to begin with and it's a problem. This one - which is happening at a local mall - has already been cleared by the mall so it is all legit!
There have been 3 practices so far. Since it is happening on Halloween day - the song and dance is going to be to Michael Jackson's "Thriller".
But there are many other flash mobs for different occasions and sometimes no occasion - just because. Sometimes they are done to specific dance styles and/or for specific causes such as one I know of called 'Shimmy Mob" which is a belly dance themed flash mob where proceeds go domestic violence causes.
Here is an example of a really intricate flash mob. I'm not in this one, nor do I know any of the people, they just did awesome.

@ledante Oh - I actually re-read my post now.
So, to my understand -
Shimmy Mob - charges participants to perform. You "fee" to perform is the donation. You learn their choreography. You must also buy a t-shirt (the color changes each year) in order to perform. If you're interested in doing it - you contact the organization, and people in your area who you think would do it, and you get them to sign up.

Hm, I'm not sure. I think it's done for free. In some cases businesses may hire dancers or mobbers to come out and perform to draw a crowd.....
