Make-up Boon or Bane?

Make-up application is an art form. Learning how to apply it had definitely improved my self esteem. It made me feel prettier. It hides my under eye circles and pimples from working night shifts.
It is said that make-up levels the playing field in dating for women. But for men it may come across as a form of deception. Another downside would be the cost incurred from buying make-up. They aren’t exactly cheap.
In my opinion, putting on make-up is okay to an extent. If you use make-up to enhance your beauty then it’s great. But if you use make-up to hide yourself then that I think is not make-up but putting on a mask.
What are your thoughts on make-up mylotters?

I have nothing against make-up, but I would prefer a woman who uses it minimally. Like you said, it's okay to use to enhance your beauty, but when you cake it on so thick that you look like a different person, then that's a problem. But like you said, it can help women improve their self-esteem, and that's not necessarily a bad thing!

@moffittjc I have a friend like that. The first time I saw her without make-up I totally didn’t recognise her.
Her makeup is totally glam even for normal days. On the up side she’s very good at putting it on she only takes 5 minutes. So she can afford to make it her everyday look.

@flapiz That's good that she can put on her makeup so quickly. I wouldn't want to date a girl who takes an hour just to put on makeup.

@flapiz Depends upon the woman. Some need it. But no man likes a too heavily made up woman.

That is true. I feel blessed having it. Although these days I’m also learning to be minimal with it.

This is so nice to read especially coming from a man. Some men claim they don’t like women wearing make-up but they would unknowingly prefer someone with make-up.

Some are like the Picasso of make-up. They can copy any face.

The most minimal make up I need would be my lipstick. I’m okay without anything else.

First things first is colour match and find your skin shade. A good foundation and knowing your skin shade allows you to buy the right products that matches your overall colour.
The more natural looking the better.

I like the color of your lippie, Floraine. Makeup is life.
I always wear makeup when going out, but just light makeup (eyebrow pencil, lip and cheek tint, and concealer to hide the dark circles under my eyes).

Thank you Maria. It was a gift from my favourite colleague. It has the minty taste. It’s from the balm.
You look great on photos I think your make-up is on point and very natural.
