This is so heartbreaking....

When I lived in Texas, I shopped at Kroger all the time. I still have gift cards I never cashed in.
According to reports, the assailant tried to enter a black church, before going into Kroger. Earlier that day there were like 70 people in there having a meeting. A few were still in there, but the doors were locked. The assailant kept pounding on the door; but no one answered.
It was so sad that the 12 year old grandson of the deceased, had to watch his grandpa get shot. Luckily the terrorist decided to let him live. He ran for help screaming, and shaking in complete terror! Some man decided to help him; calm him down; then took him to his grandma's house, so he could get out of harms away.
The grandmother was shot in the parking lot. Both were shot in the back of the head. She and the gentleman had just retired, and was looking forward to living the good life. But that monster took their opportunity away!
There was a man who watched the entire incident. He was carrying a concealed weapon (and had the permit to do so)... He started shooting at the assailant trying to cripple him. Several rounds were fired, but he got away. Before he left... The assailant said: "White people aren't suppose to shoot white people. Why are you doing this?" So it definitely was a hate crime.
For a while the police were holding the guy in custody, as an accessory to the crime; until witnesses came forth to confirm he was trying to help everyone.
The murderer was caught a few minutes later by the police, while he was at a gas station, filling up his car. They found out later that he was a member of the white supremacist.
The death toll would have been a whole lot worst had he arrived earlier, and was able to get into that black church.
It has gotten to a point that it is not even safe to go to the grocery store, or even a church for that matter...anymore.
Please keep these families and loved ones in your prayers.

I have no idea. But it is almost scarier to live, then it is to die.

For him it wasn't worst, I guess. But to watch his grandpa get shot and die in front of him... He will probably have nightmares for a very long time.

It is so so sad that someone can be at the wrong place at the wrong time and not make it out alive. That is very horrible seeing someone you love murdered right before your eyes. That will never leave you. I understand what you are saying that some things do not get reported in the news while other things that are not true are reported. There are things here that the world has not seen and what the world does get is that Israel is bad but we are not bad. What people need to know about our country is the beauty and history and all the things we do to help others in the world when something goes wrong and all the cures we come up with instead of what they think goes on here and probably have never been here to see the real Israel.
