My MacBook charger is broken

It's about 4 years old and the cable cover started cracking. The charger stopped working today. Two of the pins appeared blackish. Buying a new one is very expensive. I'll see if the charging pins alone can be changed. Or find a reliable cheaper option. Looks like this will burn a hole in my pocket.

Go and change the pins only.lf your MacBook is in good condition then why wasting money on it.

I'll get in touch with apple and probably some independent repair shops and see.

My brother has a MacBook. He said that the charger is very expensive. But I think Apple is very expensive. My brother can't even install Word on his Mac.
