It is November 1 now, and people begun flocking to the cemeteries to pay respect to their departed loved ones.
Usually, this day is dedicated only for the saints who were designated by the church for their miraculous and meritorious deeds while they were alive.
On this day, masses are being held at the churches to give thanks and pray for the saints' guidance on the lives of the living, but maybe due to changing times, people go to the burial sites of the departed to offer them flowers, candles and prayers.
Later in the day, we will have a family bonding at the memorial park where my parents and four brothers were buried. It is such a nice time when we have small chats and laughter.
How do you celebrate Halloween?

We go to the cemetery with food, candles and flowers. Twice, I tried sleeping in a tent overnight along with my siblings and cousins. Once, it rained very hard. The second time, the weather cooperated and we enjoyed stargazing. I don't know but I think celebrating All Soul's Day has changed over the years.

It really changed; people now are so busy they tend to do things the unusual way.

In here its because the mass is held in the morning. Two cemeteries in my city are having masses right now.

It is good to have Masses on such occasions so people can observe the solemnity of the two occasions.

I took part in a live Halloween poetry show here in Preston - it was lovely rather than scary
