Neighborhood Prison Park

Theres a park down the street from me, 5 minute walk, that went trough a rehabilitation/upgrade of sorts. The basketball court surface and hoops were replaced. Playground got a lot of new equipment and new sand. One of these "upgrades" to help bring people to the park and to also be as a reflection of the community surrounding the park was the addition of these butterfly/chest workout gym equipment stations. To me it reflects that the surrounding area is a criminal infested area. Because to me it looks like a prison yard for the prisoners to work out in. I dont know why this was chosen to be put there. Personally, I wouldve liked to have seen more bbq grills, trash cans and picnic tables put in place. That area was where a lot of people held bbqs. I also wouldve been okay with posts set up for volleyball nets. Another project scheduled for the park, once funding is raised, is to replace the unused water tower in the background(the white pipe and legs you see in the back) with a performance stage. Now thats another reason to of have put in more tables. I also hope they improve the restrooms, but as we all know, theres always people who will end up trashing it.
