My son is a 3 year old only but on his younger of age he know how to use, to operate my mobile phone and also my computer, my husband and I was amazed because of his younger age he know everything. But my aunt told me that gadget is not good for my son because it may cause damage on my son eyes, and I know that but my reason why I let my son to use my mobile phone it's because he use it for learning like alphabet, number and also nursery rhymes. For you guys what do u think, can you share your thought?

I really think it is ok to let him us them to learn with, I don't see any harm in that. I just wouldn't let him be on any of them for a real long period of time. I think I would do some research to see what causes eye damage from using gadgets at that age.

@resukill22 I had 3 children and grandchildren.I just think if a child is interested in learning, no matter what device it is from, let them. I just think, at 3 years old, a child is not going to stay on anything very long at a time before their ready to find something else to get into.

It's an advantage(and fun) to use technology in enhancing your kid's learning as long as there's a time limit and parental controls are set.

They should learn the alphabet with books or a live person.Too many kids use mobile phones to entertain themselves when they should be learning patience. They probably shouldn't stare at the computer for hours on end,but at least they usually don't take it with them.

He is young. Too much exposure to it can cause health problems because of the radiation coming from these gadgets.

I only have nephews and they like to play until sleep. I think it damages the eyes if your child sees the picture too long. Try to maintain eye distance and limit the time to play on the gadget.

i have no kids but if i did i wouldnt let them use it. i see a lot of kids now use a phone or tablet and get too attached to it. the blue light from the devices is also not good for their eyes that are still in development. theres kids now who start in preschool not knowing how to use or hold a pencil, or how to open a book.

It's not good to be on it extensively. Study suggest that more children are having more ADHD and speech defect nowadays,
