Planning ahead for the New Month & Already Behind

Due to formerly being an accountant, I'm a planner. I plan ahead for the day, week, month, and the year. Sounds like alot, right?! But not really. It just gives you an outline of goals of what to look forward to in the future. Just thinking about it, though, stemmed me away from what I really wanted to discuss... At the end of the month, I try to make sure that I'm up on my bills and everything so that I'm prepared for the next month. I also update my calendar for appointments for the following months. Well, it seems that due to Veterans day that I'm going to be behind on everything... I love to read. I have a bookclub that I try to go to every month, but due to my current situation I haven't been able to make the meetings in a long while. I also have been getting the books late because of missing the meetings. I definitely wanted to make the meeting this month (Nov. 2018) but due to where Veteran's day falls I won't even be able to finish the book. Usually the bookclub meeting is every 2nd Monday in my area's library. But the library's gonna be closed due to the holiday. So the meeting's gonna be this Monday. With the holiday, it not only puts me behind with the book but it also has things closed on days that I need to get things done. I have to change alot of things around. Though I appreciate the Veterans, it also has my daughter outta school this week. An untimely inconvenience for me but at least I'm planning ahead this weekend. I haven't been doing it in a while so I'm going to remain positive. Just wondering if anybody else plans ahead?

Retired now and not planning ahead that much anymore. I hate imposed "deadlines".

@marlina @CarolDM I agree with you both. That's the funny thing. I'm in conflict with myself. I try to take things day to day, but I also need some sorta structure or I get kinda disoriented. It's a push&pull battle for me. And I really can't stand "deadlines" either. It causes me alot of stress and breaks down my creativity sometimes. But I know that they're needed in order to get work done.

I don't really plan ahead, but just add it to my To-do-list. Does that count?
