Cell Phone question from a novice...

Has anyone in the US ever heard of Republic Wireless, and/or the Moto G6 or Moto G6 Play (phones)? I am in need of a new phone, and for that matter a new carrier, but I need something affordable and I don't need a ton of "bells and whistles". This carrier and phone(s) seem(s) good, but I was just wondering if anyone had an opinion. I really have no clue about this.

Why can't you try redmi ? I am using redmi 5A and it costs only $90. It is having all features of redmi 5 (which costs 15k) except finger print sensor.

I have never heard of redmi . Don't know if that's available in the US.
