At the top of the stairs

Look who I found at the top of my stairs the other day. Someone didn’t want to go to bed and mommy and daddy where busy making treats for the teachers today. I guess since nobody was looking up the stairs to see if he went to his room. My darling 3.5 year made himself his own bed at the top of the stairs. A pillow, his sister sweater, his dog Max (black stuffed poodle). His little do we even tucked in next to him. When moving him. We found his hand down his pants. Made the whole thing even more funny. We are also amazed he didn’t manage to fall down the stairs. We made sure to move him to his bed bed.

Kids are very resourceful. Good thing you found him before he did fall down the steps and put him back to bed.

@Hannihar no he doesn’t sleep walk. Some times he just being stubborn about going to sleep and will make a bed some where else Once he gets tired enough and sleep in the hallway, some times his sister bed room. A lot of times he’ll wake in the middle of night and need a snuggle so he’ll cljmb into bed next to me.

Has he done that before? Does he sleep walk and then ends up at the top of the stairs?

Trying tell the tto a sleeping 3.5 year to not sleep at the top of the stairs. He has bed he just choice not to use st this time. Kids will do stupid stuff.

@leny34 you can’t keep and eye on a child 24/7. It was bed time and he was put to bed came down stairs several times was placed back in bed several times was sent back to his room several times. Part of being a parent is parenting which means leaving them be when they need it. He was fine and people who try to make parents feel bad for the fact that they are not sitting and watching their child fall a sleep because they think eyes must be on them at all times nothing will ever get done. A child will never lean from their mistakes. Getting hurt is going to happen.
