Tornadoes Last Night

Tornadoes

We had lots of heavy rain, thunder, lightning and tornadoes last night. Thankfully the tornadoes were a few miles away from our home. But we got the bad weather. The straight line wind, the thunder, lightning, all of it. There was a 41 y/o lady killed when her house collapsed. So very sad. Many were injured as their houses caught on fire from the lightning and lost everything. You count your blessings when you survive a night like this unharmed. Many lost their homes. So far one life was lost. My heart goes out to all the families affected. Pixabay photo

I am happy that you are safe but feel bad for those with lasses. I used to live in Iowa and Kansas and we had the tornadoes also. I know what those things can do.

@CarolDM I have watched them strike down. One did hit my mom and step fathers place. It did quite a bit of damage. We all just stood there cause there was really no place to go.

I'm most afraid of tornadoes. I've been in hurricanes, earthquakes, and even a monsoon, but would rather take them than a tornado. So glad you are safe and so sorry for the others.

I'm thankful to hear you're safe, but it's so tragic about the homes that were destroyed and the lady who lost her life. We never know what the future will bring, but we trust God for whatever happens.

there are mild tornadoes in my country. once we felt the whirlwind here and we were right. just the area near my neighborhood experienced that, but not the strong tornadoes that you experience there

Its so difficult to see the news coverage of the aftermath of such destruction isn't it? Its especially difficult after you have survived such a storm yourself. I'm glad that you ae alive, well and hopefully in a home that didn't sustain any damages.
