My aunt had a little quarrel with her husband and in the heat of the quarrel she left the house. After 5 days she came back and realize her husband has absconded with the 2 kids and his number switch off. What do you think is the best way to deal with this?

It sounds like SHE abandoned the children.

@Berrygal I don't think you're going to find many people sympathetic to someone who abandoned their children for 5 days by using the excuse that she "needed to calm down".

It sounds like it was more than a "little quarrel" if she abandoned her kids for 5 days. She needs a lawyer, as if it happened the way you briefly described it, she is in the wrong.

She needs to talk to police and ask their advice. It may not be illegal, but they can certainly look for the children as there will be concerns for their welfare.

She shouldnt of ever left. If she left the kids he had every right to leave with the kids.

I think she will need to get a lawyer. She abandoned her children when she left so he would have custody of them and does not have to hand them over until she goes to court and the law decides where the children should be. If it was a small quarrel then I don't know why she would leave for five days with no contact with her children.

@Berrygal I can understand needing to walk away and clear your head but I could never leave my children for five days.
