Diwali Celebration all over India Today - Festive Feeling!

Hi mylotters. Today is "Diwali" and it's celebrated all over India since many decades. The significance of Diwali festival is when Lord Rama defeated Ravana and came back to his birthplace i.e. Ayodhya. The people of that city lighted diyas and celebrated his homecoming. During Diwali, the day is started by Hindus visiting temple by wearing new clothes and doing Pooja in morning. Then they go to meet friends and relatives to wish them "Happy Diwali". During night time, firecrackers are busted along with lighting of diyas. The women of the house make Rangoli i.e. different patterns made on floor and it's filled with colours. Sweets and snacks are made by people at home and relished on this day as well as gifts are exchanged on this auspicious occasion.
