Walter Cronkite was one of the most trusted people in America in my lifetime. He presented the national news every weekday evening when households had a choice of 4-5 channels on our televisions. There hasn't been anyone quite like him since. With all of the choices for news with cable and the Internet, there probably never will be another person that so many Americans can trust so much again.

The world did love Walter Cronkite, I still do. Wish there was one like him now but he's a hard act to follow and he wasn't even acting.1 person likes this

@Namelesss ~I've read that he was well respected by other journalists who lovingly referred to him as "Uncle Walter".
