It's called Hevea Brasiliensis scientifically but it's most commonly known as the Rubber Tree. As you have noticed, there are wounds around the body of the tree. It is where the white sap flows down to be collected by harvesters in time. When the white sap along the wounds dries up, people also harvest it for use in making fire. And that was what my husband and I did last time We collected some of the dry sap and gave it to my mother as she's using it in our dirty kitchen. The only thing I don't like about this tree is it's very foul smell when it's sap get spoiled. Ew! It smells like poop.. really! Picture's mine. It's a pretty old tree my husband's family have in their land.

Never heard of a tree that smells like poop. It wouldn't be wise to keep it in a house.

I know about this when the boyfriend and I and some other friends visited a rubber tree in one of the places in the north. Yes, it has a foul smell.

It does have a smell to it but not a poop kind of smell. I can't distinguish how it smells because I have never encountered that kind of smell in my life.
