Another thing you can do in Las Vegas, Nevada is to visit the Bonnie Springs Ranch about a half-hour from Las Vegas. It is located in Red Rock Canyon and was built in 1974. The “Old Town” here is a replica of a western village and includes a real ice cream shop and wedding chapel.
What are not real but are fun attractions are the graveyard, the pretend mining shaft and pretend gunfight. There is the Western Museum where you can see antique carriage and craps tables. The strangest thing you might see is the Bonnie Springs Wax Museum where you can visit a saloon that includes buxom, saloon ladies, former US Presidents Abraham Lincoln, and James Buchanan and an unusual and amusing sight of the legendary mountain man Jebediah Smith being attacked by a grizzly bear.
Wouldn’t visiting and seeing all of this make for some fun instead of wandering the streets and casinos of Las Vegas?
