I’m Tired, I’m Frustrated, and I’m Annoyed

The waiting is like a guessing game as of this moment. One year ago, I made a petition for erroneous entry in my birth certificate. The process was very long but sometime in July, I received my documents as petition was granted but that doesn’t end there because I need to request an annotated copy of my birth certificate at the office of Registrar General at the Central Office in Quezon City. I mailed my documents on the same month and I expected it to come back at me two months after as what the local civil registrar stated.
I understand that it would take some time before my document would come back considering the distance. Given that two months waiting period is sufficient, I made several follow-ups through calls and personal visits but to my dismay, it wasn’t received by the local’s civil registrar office yet.
Just recently, I visited their office hoping that it was there already but it just gave me a head ache because it is not. I am now annoyed because it just shows how the system of this office works.
Above all, I already spend more than enough amounts of money just because of this.
The year is about to end and my transaction with other agency is pending until now.

What is the reason they told why until now it isn't processed yet?
We have the same problem with our mother's survivorship pension from my deceased father since April who was a judge. It is a 100% pension and we have already completed the documents since September but until now it is still not being released.

I've read sometime ago that they have revised rules regarding erroneous entries on birth records with the Civil Registrar. I've that it should now be easier and you only need to go to the Civil Registrar to request for the correction. With your situation now, I guess you do not have a passport yet because of that.

You will feel so much better once you get hold of the clean, NSO certified Birth Certificate. I know because I've been there and it was so stressful. My hubby helped me.
