I am currently watching Louis Theroux's new documentary which is about assisted suicide, I am only about 10 minutes in and am nearly in tears.
They have spoken to three people the first is in his 70s and has pancreatic Cancer, the second was only 47 and had cancer all over these were both allowed to legally commit suicide as they were diagnosed with less that 6 months to live.
The third one wasn't allowed to because she wasn't terminally ill she had been in a car crash and was in a wheelchair and had developed dementia like symptoms.
All of the stories are so heartbreaking, I hate the thought of people wanting to end their own lives but I understand their decisions.
I hope I am never in a similar situation or any of my loved ones, not that I would have the option in the UK anyway

Well it was very early stages so she was still compos mentis which is why she had to make the decision early in the illness, she wouldn't have been allowed to later on. It was really sad.
