Well, I am almost done my scarf now. I am not knitting all day long though. My friends mother can make a kids pair of mitts in one day, and more. O.k. I am not making it up, I saw her doing. Well when you can do it and you like it, why not ? I've been taught to knit since I was a kid, so I better practice. But I don't think I can match my friends' ma ma.

I have knit one mitten in a day....my mother in law could knit several pairs in a day. I prefer to quilt, but have taken knitting along to work on while travelling.

@beenice2 as my mother inlaws health declined, she spent many hours knitting. It was a sad day when she could no longer knit because of her failing eyesight.

That is really good. My mother knows knitting too and I someday want to learn it too. It is interesting to make so many things using it.

That's great you know how to knit. I don't know it at all. My mom is very good at it and sometimes she even knitted nice clothes for our stuffed bear
