Words have power

Words have power, believe it or not. You speak your future into existence. What you speak is what you set yourself up for.. There have been various experiments conducted on rice and apples to prove this. Speak faith, speak love, speak hope.. This poem was written after right after I read an email from a friend... it made me utterly sad..
Words light up,
On the screen,
Capitalized,
Screaming,
Tormenting,
Flooded with fear,
Inundated with anxiety,
Screaming in pain,
Tomorrows seem distant,
At this moment,
Just agony remains,
The sole refrain of the mind,
Blinded to hope,
Optimism denied,.
Expectant,
Of gloom,
Engrossed in the pain of today,
Lost to the endless possibilities,
Of life in the future.
The mind has affirmed,
Defeat, despair and hopelessness,
There is no way now,
But to follow,
What has been declared,
By the words,
Lit up on the screen!

I absolutely agree with you as you know. I have seen the studies done on what it does to fruit and such when someone spoke life and positive words to it. It's amazing.
I loved your poem and it's so very true-some convince themselves of only the negative in life. Here's why:
THEY ARE TOO FOCUSED ON THEIR OWN TROUBLES AND SITUATION. I can say that because I have been there years ago!
Changing the focus changes everything!

@sofssu Don't be mad at them though, they need to be shown love. They just don't know who they truly are and how much they are loved by God. It's not their fault, they need to be SHOWN-not told. =)

@LovingMyBabies Agree with you completely, most people who are miserable di this to themselves, they shut hope out, give no room for optimism, the doom themselves to all things negative. You are spot on.. change your thought and change your life. Thanks a ton.

@allknowing This is free form.. no restraints at all .. Its only the in the last one year or so I have started writing in this form, usually I write poetry that follows forms and meter. This is fun.. when you get the hang of it.. you should try it sometime if you are so inclined.

Not all words coming out from our mouths have power. Example: Words coming out from the cute mouth of Prez Donald Trump are powerless! Liberals/democrats.MSM ignore them . . like that CNN guy named Jimmie Acosta . . LOL

@antonbunot Maybe its too soon to comment.. we'll wait and watch..it takes time to see the effects. Not that i care too much about Trump anyways.
