My Spring Roll ( Lumpia) Experience Yesterday

A pretty girl in her twenties dropped by my office to sell some Spring Rolls stuffed with carrots, potato and some vegetables, all pure veggies and it's cheap at less than 2 US dollars per 30 pcs. I even introduced her to my colleagues and helped her sell more. I just got excited to include it in our dinner and telling everyone that it's super good. Much to my dismay, It failed my expectation. I could only taste the wrapper, Oh my where are the veggies? A few minutes later my colleague called me up and asked me how I find the spring roll, because they were also disgusted. I am sure the girl would be coming back again to sell the same. I do not want to embarrass her, how could I tell her? especially so that she is a relative of a close friend. photocredit -google

tell her to add more filling. There are cheaper ingredients like sweet potato and mung beans sprouts instead of carrots and potatoes

@florelway I need to correct my statement, I meant mung bean sprouts and not mungbeans.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I see I just thought it's a kind of beans which you can chop. Thanks for that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that sweet potato and mung bean. Yes I should tell about this filling, it's even cheaper than potato and carrots.

you either tell the girl herself or your close friend that you were disappointed and you were embarrassed because your officemates said the same thing. it's understand you want to help your friend, but maybe next time, it's better to personally sample the goods first.

@hereandthere, you are right I should have tried it before recommending them to others. Lesson learned. Yes, I should tell her if she comes back or If I chanced upon my friend.

Sometimes we do have such experiences. I think you should tell her in a feedback form in a friendly way.

Hahahah it is because of its business. Sadly, most of business-minded today think more about money not about the quality of the product they sell.

2 dollars for 30 lumpia is too good to be true not unless the ingedients were cheap reject vegetables, just tell her that you would spend much more for lesser lumpia if it was as pretty as her

@louievill, that's the problem I never knew where she got her vegetables, I hope it's not among those chopped left-over vegetables sold in wet markets, it does not fit her pretty face if that's the case lol.

You could tell her in an honest but loving way. Tell her you don't want anyone to be disappointed with what she's selling so your trying to help.

That's why it was dirt-cheap. Tell her nicely when nobody is listening. Make it sound like you are concerned.
