The leaves of song of India plants are colourful.

Along with flowering plants I have planted leafy plants where the show is related to the leaves.The song of India plants are also beautiful. The leafy portions turn red in winter. They look beautiful when planted in pots and kept in the balcony. In Kolkata with the mild winters they grow well.

@rakski The great thing about this plant is that they dont require a lot of caring. Only I water them everyday in the potted plant in balcony.

I know that plant, but have never known its name was "Song of India." What a lovely name. I am going to see if I can find one for Christmas.
