Are You Comfortable at Giving Smile To A Stranger?

Every day, we meet people along the way. Some are familiar faces but others are total stranger. And it is sometimes unavoidable without having an eye contact with them. However, I am not comfortable of giving my smile to that person especially that I am not known to them or they are not known to me. Even with some familiar faces whom I never have connection, I still find it uneasy to give a smile; sometimes I give a nod only to them when there were times we crossed path. How do you find this situation? Are you a friendlier person and comfortable at giving smile even to person that you do not know? Photo Credit:pixabay.com

@ZedSmart some people smile back, others just smirk or smug. others ignore. circle of life. Did I lose anything? But I have to, when I see my students even for the first time I smile at them.

@Mavic123456 No probs for studs because in the long run, you're like a big family. There's no wrong for that, and if the recipient misunderstood they are the ones who have problem. I'm just not the starter.

I think as I grow older, I find it easier to smile at strangers especially if they are so much younger than me. I feel like the dotting grandmother that smiles to all her grandchildren. LOL.

It's nice to know that you're doing the first move and treated the younger ones with so much respect.

I'm always smiling when I'm out of the house and I think that smile disrupts people, but I have a problem that my smile often misunderstands. And I'm just kinda.

That's why the second thought because it might be misunderstood especially if the person is a total stranger.

I don't even look at strangers, you might end up attracting the wrong person or they might think you're crazy or something.

I am very shy but I smile at people. I just hope they don't talk to me! I especially smile at homeless or handicapped people who might not get a friendly look otherwise.

They perhaps wonder why you smile at them. I'm sure those people think otherwise that you know them.

@ZedSmart It depends on the person whether I smile at them or not or even say hello.

Yup, definitely. But when I am busy I might forget to smile and walk fast through people just to get my work done faster.
