Change of Tastes

Our tastes change as we grow older..the things that we liked as children like candies, lollipops and cotton candy are not high (may not be there at all ) on our list of preferred items as we grow into adulthood and older.
We hate foods like broccoli and greens as kids but we consume a lot of those as we grow older..
How has your tastes changed over the years,.. do you still stick to the same kind of food you ate as children or have you grown fonder of those that you didn't like too much in your childhood?
Have those changes happened due to health reasons or you just adopted them naturally as you grew older?

When I was still a child until I was in my late 20's, I don't like veggies. I only like mung beans.
However, after giving birth to our only child, my tastes change. I then like vegetables. In fact, I think my meal is complete if it is only meat or fish. I always would get a cucumber and put some apple cider vinegar, sliced onions and some sugar to serve as my vegetables.

In my case it was more of availability than change of taste As kids we were not rich and there were so many things I wanted to eat but could not. But now there is no limit to what I get to eat.

@sofssu yes...and this is what keeps the spark of life up. Otherwise it will be too monotonous

In recent years, I have been really loving the bitter greens (like dandelion leaves or bitter gourd) - in fact I pretty much love all vegetables now. Although I love chocolate, I've gotten a distaste for the hard candies (the pure sugar stuff). Otherwise, I am not too picky - I love all foods

@freelancermariagrace I guess its the basic awareness and the ability to accept a wider range of experiences in life that brings about this change.

I have been a veggie eater all my life but I ate animal products too, never really been a junk food person. 2 yrs ago I took out all animal products, processed foods and went vegan for health.
I am so glad I did because just this year it saved my life..
