Looking at the songs for 1973 there were so many awesome choices and great artists that the choice was quite difficult. However, when I think of this crazy world and how I would like to see it then out of all the songs I choose “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth)” by George Harrison.
The song was included on his 1973 album Living Lord. The single grew in popularity and bumped Paul McCartney and Wings with “My Love” from the top of the Billboard 100 chart. However, when I think back to this time I think I must have heard both songs just as many times over the radio.
When George Harrison went on tour he included this song in every concert and a live version of it was included on his 1992 album Live in Japan. Among the artists who have covered this song are Sting and Elton John.
How many of you remember this song?
