NYPD find an engagement ring that fell into a utility grate

A couple from England had a bittersweet Friday night in Times Square when the guy was proposing to his girlfriend when he dropped the ring on an utility grate that fell down underground. When the couple asked the New York Police Department (NYPD) to help them locate the missing wedding ring, the police were unable to assist them at that time. There was one minor detail that was missing. The police officer did not get the name of the couple much less where to contact them. The next day the NYPD special ops were able to find the ring. The couple at that time which was on Saturday had returned back to England. Thanks to social media, the NYPD were able to contact the couple that their engagement ring had been found and they were going to send via air mail back to England.
