It Seems That I Can’t Afford

We were looking for tinsel garlands so that we could finish our own made Christmas tree. We shop at the most accessible store within our area but it was unfortunate that the colors that we’re looking for are not available. We look for green and silver. Wow, this is such a common scenario when you’re more likely to do not able to get what you really looking for. We move to another shop but still unable to find what we want. Again, we move to another shop which a bit distant far but nearer if we opt to go to at the malls.
Luckily, there are colors green and silver there. After I paid at the cashier, I asked the attendant if they have available Christmas lights but I was told to try to ask at the second floor. In addition, the attendant stressed further that they do not have ordinary lights (which is cheaper) but instead the ones priced at higher amount. So what? I would buy whatever the price is.
It seems that I can’t afford and perhaps that's the attendant was thinking?

@ZedSmart A matter of poor judgement on the part of the attendant. The proper attitude is always to presume that the buyer has the money to pay. How many stories have been told of people in very ordinay clothes going to car dealerships and being poorly treated thinking that they could not afford a car, only to find out that the fellow has come to buy the high end model and pay in cash at that.

@sunrisefan That's true. Looks can be deceiving and there are more people who are quick to interpret you basing on just superficial qualities.

I wish you had a shop like we do in England. They sold half priced Christmas trees, 3 Christmas decorations for the price of 2 and affordable packs of Christmas lights. Try another shop to get affordable Christmas lights. I really don't know what the shop attendant was thinking. I have some blue tinsel and some silver tinsel. It looks lovely with silver balls hanging on the snow white Christmas tree. I also have a flocked snow 7 foot high Christmas tree.

@ZedSmart because i'm sure they've encountered the opposite, too, wherein they've directed people to some items, but they complained it's too expensive or that the cheaper ones were not shown to them. it can be hard being frontliners.
