As many know Im also known as the tamale girl. i make 1000s at holidays to give away and to sell for peoples parties and dinners. yesterday i made over 400.. Today ill make at least that many. next 2 weeks are filled with orders. So glad my albertsons had chicken and pork on sale. Ill mke alittle more thanks to the great meat prices. plus my tamales are big and thick.. thats why everyone loves them.

I wish I still had a tamale lady. We used to have a lady in a neighborhood I lived in, she would make tamales. She also made the sweet kind. I've never made them but I think I should try.

sweet ones are good. Just people dont buy them. i make a few with crushed pineapple for my hubbie.. he lkes them cold with his coffee.

@kayshope I don't think I've ever had any with crushed pineapple in them. I bet they would taste delicious. I'm surprised people do not order them. Though I think my favorite are the tamales with pork in them.

@ScribbledAdNauseum they are good. My mom used to make sugar ones and even cherry ones.. They both are good to.
