I did wonder why the roads were pretty quiet yesterday. Peeved by the daily deception that is embedded in the news, I have refrained from watching television for sometime now. Out of ennui, I clicked the boob tube on in time for a breaking news: Catriona Grey has just been crowned Miss Universe in Bangkok.
I am not a supporter of pageants. Through the years,I have seen young ladies dumb and shallow vie for a beauty title. Not my kind of entertainment.
This year is different. I did see on CNN that the young lady representing the Philippines in the Miss Universe Pageant is a woman of substance. Wow. She can speak and the intelligence shows in her beautiful face.
Okay. She nailed it. And the whole islands is screaming and shaking, I did watch the winning performance and I admit I was simply overwhelmed by her gracious elegance.
Congratulaions.

At least one, I heard, created an intrigue, which is despicable.
Oh well, all's well that ends well. The Philippines has another woman to be proud of. The world needs a Filipino woman to check the condition of the children, I think. Filipino women do differently in the home.

@JaxBiebs The Filipino woman is an achiever, whether the job is in the home or a career. Admirable women, the Pinays are.

And she's a black belt with a Master's certificate from a Boston College. But really, it's her compassion and advocacy towards the children especially the poor ones that caught my attention. Thus far, the quote I like best is "Somebody should look out for the children as somebody did look out for me/"

@lovinangelsinstead21 She came home yesterday and the first to surround her were the poor children of Tondo.

I was sick when this woman got crowned! I watch it all in youtube and You didn't see her nervous through out the entire pageant. There was even a footage where she was dancing right before the top 3 was shown
