What a wonderful time my husband and I had in Cuba. White sandy beaches, tourquoise water, time together bonding. It was wonderful and so important to do for our relationship. We need to do this more often. Cuba is THE cheapest vacation.
What also made it nice was that almost all the tourists are from Canada. There was a great feeling of fellowship with the others at our resort and our excursion.
We did one excursion. It was a little on the expensive side but it was all day, consisted of lunch at a restaurant and something we each wanted to do. We left on a catamaran and then stopped for those who wanted to snorkel. That is what my husband wanted. After an hour at that spot we moved to the marina where we watched the dolphin show, participated with a dolphin and I got to swim with a dolphin. We also forked out the money to pay for the pictures and video. I'm a sucker that way. I want to remember everything. Swimming with dolphins was on my bucket list so I was able to check another one off.
The picture I've posted with this is our first day at the beach (we were there 5 days out of 7. One day was very windy and threatening rain. The waves were really high. They were high the next day too but we enjoyed laughing together as we tried to walk in them. I would love to share other pictures so as I respond to comments and I post more pictures.
It was very hot in Cuba and though we used sunscreen we came home pretty pink and tanned. We both want to go back and I hope my husband is serious when he says it. He also commented on the aborted trip that was planned for the Dominican in October saying that 5 days would not have been enough. We made the right decision.

I am glad you had such a lovely time. My best friend and her husband went on a cruise for their honeymoon. They got to swim with the dolphins and she even kissed one. I thought that was awesome! She brought back gifts for everyone. I got a little bottle of sand and little shells that I treasure.

I can't remember whether you are following me on Facebook. I posted videos there of my swim with dolphins. I kissed him right on the mouth as well, tongue out.
Swimming and kissing dolphin in Cuba Excuse the thumb in the beginning. My husband is not well trained on using the phone for both pictures and videos

@ScribbledAdNauseum I think you've got a private page. I can't request friendship and I don't have Facebook Messenger so can't even message you.

I am glad that you had such a fine time in Cuba. I adore dolphins and it is excellent you interacted with them so much even if was expensive. In 2001 I went on a dolphin watching trip on Christmas day in the Bay Islands in New Zealand. Some of the other people swam with the dolphins. In 2000 I got to feed a wild dolphin at Monkey Mai in Australia. You seem to have found it very hot at Cuba. I know what you mean it was like that on the beach in Sri Lanka. I would love to visit Cuba although I am not sure if 5 days would be enough. I am glad it fully suited you and your husband.
