Let's see. Truth is, even if Aquaman was one of my favorite childhood animation, I can't recall his story, Meaning, I was pretty excited to renew my love for this aquatic super hero.
Ya bet, I did have a good treat. The movie was action packed and if I am not careful here, I could give you spoilers. Which you might hate me for.
Suffice it to say that Aquaman is an amalgamation of many of my favorite characters and scenes. Okay, just one spoiler. Aquaman's name is Arthur. He is supposed to be King of Atlantis. Ocean Master. Ruler of the Seven Seas.
Well, in Literature, there is one Arthur, the boy who drew Excalibur from a stone, and he became King.
Arthur, the Fish Man, has to draw a trident, in order to be the reluctant king.
Is that too much of a spoiler? I hope not. Just want you to look for the parallelism of Camelot and Atlantis.
Have fun viewing.

I'm one who found the comic books much more interesting than the movies. I'm glad you liked the movie.

@eileenleyva Yes, I went to see the first Superman movies when they came out. They were pretty good but the comics were something special. And I'm talking about the first original series. I started reading the comics back in the 1960 ies.

@1hopefulman Yes. That is what I tell millennials - none compare to the imagination of the sixties, when the ideas stretched far out into the infinite universe, I did challenge the youth to come up with some original ideas, because the mind is unlimited when it comes to brainchild. Nada. The work this day and age are copycats of the ideas half a century ago.

I was a DC comics weekend reader back in grade school and high school. My Mommy provided the materials, including Archie comics, and we stack up our collection on our bedside tables. When Superman came out on the silver screen it was a whole new experience. From the drawing and the ink, our hero has come to life.
The movies has given the characters and the stories heightened pleasurable animation. The sound effects alone could render me tight-gripped at the edge of the seat. Wow.
But of course, the comics started it all.

There is someone here name hero but he's anti-hero: he's drunkard, still single at the age of 50, and contented with his life jusy walking along the street.
Anyway, I'm eager to watch that movie.

Yup. More than Superman and Batman, I think I loved Thor and Aquaman. Their realm, somehow, from a child's viewing point, is neither ordinary nor of my neighborhood.
