Here, on this last Friday before Christmas, I'm gonna be a Scrooge and cause controversy!!! I don't to it intentionally, you know, I just give my opinion on songs I like and don't like. But I'm going to get some snubs over today's selection on my list of favorites by the great Bob Seger. Fire away.
#4: Shame on the Moon
I knew this song long before Bob recorded it, thanks to having the original by its author, Rodney Crowell. Yeah, I'm a big Rodney Crowell fan (even got to meet him in 1988).
But that's not why I picked it. I picked it because it's a great song. And, to his credit, Seger did a fabulous job of it. It fit his "mellow" side perfectly.

I thought you picked the song because you wanted to moon us all.

Shame on the moon, not shame on Keith Moon.
