Where do you invest your monthly savings?

I invest my monthly savings in equity linked mutual funds through SIPs and recurring deposit. I invest a fixed amount in SIP (Systematic Investment Plan), which gets deducted from my bank account every month, as also recurring deposit. Do you invest in mutual funds, especially equity linked? They are risky Investments, but do fetch good returns over longer run.
