Favorite Bud Light Commercials #5 - Real Men of Genius

Again, I must preface this with a couple of facts: I really, really, really can't stand Bud Light. But I really, really, really love their commercials. So I am counting down my favorite Bud Light commercials. We are at #5: Real Men of Genius. Face it. There are some guys out there that just don't give a damn. And every single one of us probably fits into that distinction in some way, shape, or form, at some point. We are who we are, and we're going to do what we're going to do, brilliant or not (usually not.) Which is where Real Men of Genius comes in. Real Men of Genius was an entire campaign that Anheiser Busch used to promote both Budweiser and Bud Light, and ads ran on both radio and television. The series, which started as Budweiser-only in the UK, featured the great voice of announcer Peter Stacker snarkily-yet-seriously pointing out guys doing, well, guy things, backed up by hilarious rock music vocals performed by Survivor vocalist/keyboardist Dave Bickler (Yes! The very guy that sang "Eye of the Tiger!") Real Men of Genius was a huge ad campaign (the company spent $38 million a year on the radio ads alone,) and was extremely effective. Those commercials are so classic that they are still fondly remembered to this day, even though Budweiser pulled the plug on them in 2008. I'll leave you with this one, which celebrates Mr. Really, Really Bad Dancer. Bust a move with your bad self! We salute you, sir! (Info verified by Wikipedia)
Real Men of Genius bring you a really really really bad dancer

This is exactly why I'm not a dancer, and refuse to get out on the dance floor. Because I would totally be That Guy.

I think I have a CD with all of the radio spots from this campaign. My favorite was the really big rolling cooler guy.
