One bully too many, all in the family?

Most people were shocked by the news. The video clip shows a smaller kid challenging a taller boy peeing in the urinal. When the challenged boy ignored the challenger, the kid sprawled into action with punches and kicks. He was a taekwando champion. The bullied boy ended with bloodied face.
Well, that kind of news is unheard of, especially in the country's top exclusive school for boys. The discipline in this private, Catholic school, is followed to the letter. The Jesuits take pride on it.
I told my daughter that in cases such as this, we must reserve judgment. My daughter said NOOOOHHH. I asked to be clarified. Then I learned that the elder brother is also a bully. The father? Oh. he was the original bully. He set the example well.
The kid, of course, was expelled from the school.

Suing is not an option. Minors cannot be prosecuted in my country. Erroneous law but it is the law. Sigh. The parents of the bullied child chose to allow the school and the Deparment of Education to put proper perspective on this dilemma, on the grounds that they refuse to make their child poster boy as victim. The boy said he chose not to dignify the challenge and keep his values and integrity intact.

@DWDavis that boy, indeed, used his judgment well.

@eileenleyva Very good for the boy who chose not to rise to the bullies challenge.

Maybe the father shoyld be then file with case in court and not the kid to slap with heavy judgement, to be expelled.

Depends on the aggrieved party. actually, if a case is to be filed in court. The bully is a minor, so the parents must be given the responsibility.

@eileenleyva My goodness!
This is why I give people at least one chance. Unless it's something really really horrible! But I do know that some bullies are bullies for a reason. It's not always because they have a mean streak. Sometimes it's because it's all they know or because they are getting bullied themselves! Hope the father feels ashamed of himself. The son too! Both need to learn between right and wrong!

It was a rich family, I think. More likely than not, they take pride on their status in life and boast about it by bullying others.
Considering the bully boy is a minor, he would be judged juvenile delinquent but no crime is committed. Sigh.

Maybe his family environment made him violent! Such a bad training!

The Catholic school is obsessive-compulsive when it comes to discipline. Perhaps the domestic upbringing is to blame.

Violence begets violence. The father already has a challenger.

@Hannihar I don't actually hate bullies. They are strangers to me. But I detest the bullying. The bullies have serious mental or psychological disorders, I think.
