New Year's Traditions

We have a family tradition at least in my house for New Year's Eve and day. I am not sure how my kids will do theirs when they are out of the house. We get snacks and have sparkling grape juice instead of alcohol to drink and watch the New Year's Shows on TV. And on New Year's Day we eat black eyed peas . So what kind of Traditions do you have ? Why?

New year is started with lots and lots of sweets and good food. From morning till the eve of new year, we don't stop eating coz there's a lot to it. I hope we don't get so chubby this year
