Favourite Active NHL players - #1 Mitch Marner, Toronto

Hey there. In this series, I will be featuring my favourite NHL players, 1 active player for each NHL team. Let's see where this goes, hah..
Starting off first on the list, that would be none other than.. Mitch Marner, from the Toronto Maple Leafs! Just a few stats on Mitch, verifed by Wikipedia, he was born in Markham, Ontario, 21 years old, listed at 6'0" 176 lbs, plays Right Wing, and was drafted fourth overall in the 2015 NHL Draft.
Just a few things I personally notice about the guy, he plays with so much heart, so much grit. He is a wiry fellow, very light on his feet, and a very excellent passer, which makes sense why he gets so many assists. Though, lately he has been getting a decent amount of goals too! The final thing I want to note, is that he is a huge key in filling in with points when key players go down with injury.
Does anyone else like the Leafs/hockey? I will be continuing this series tomorrow or so

I grew up with the Leafs (born and raised in Toronto). I had a friend who had an "in" and was able to meet a lot of players back in the 70's, got pictures and autographs, even a phone call from my favourite player.
The Leafs are doing awesome this year. Yes, Mitch Marner is great, as are quite a few other players on the team. I'm hoping for a great season this year. They are long overdue.

Me and my dad watch a lot of Leafs games together, and my one uncle is a huge Leafs fan, and hockey in general too.
Yes, they really are! You're right, there are a ton of other players that are doing well, others that are in fact doing "better" or what have you than Mitch as far as points/stats etc, but I chose Mitch just as a personal choice and different reasons. Me too, yes I totally agree! Cheers and.. Go Leafs!

@patgalca Very cool! I love Lanny McDonald, never saw him play, but just seeing commercials featuring him, footage, etc, he seemed like a really cool, cheerful guy. Darryl, was he not the one who scored 10 points in one game or something crazy like that? Anyways, good stuff!
