Tuna Pasta as a recycled lunch food.

Third day of the new year and here I am, eating recycled left-overs. Cooked a lot of spaghetti noodles for the holidays, and wow, not much people to share with. I gave the security guards old fashioned meaty spaghetti in red sauce but the next door carpenters must have gone home to their families. My nephew was nowhere to be found. So I stacked the noodles in food keepers. A little olive oil, a can of tuna, two spoonful of evaporated milk, now I have tuna past. Yum. I've always been a pasta eater, the rich and creamy carbonara was once a specialty. Ha ha. But the taste has become simpler. Tuna pasta, al dente, is a filling.

I gather you are not a seafood eater. But me, I am an islander, and we have a bountiful catch almost all year round. Fish is part of our staple food.

@Janet357 Me, too. I don't like canned goods, except for corned beef and spam, I think, and pork and beans. But I stack up canned goods as disaster preparedness items, in case people come up to me for food. I give away the goods every few months, to avoid the expiration thing. Or, I use some in my cooking.

I don't like tuna, too. I just have cans in stock, in case of earthquake or some stormy weather. But the tuna in olive oil that I made today tasted good. I ate a bowlful in a jiffy. Or I just might be hungry. Ha ha

Concocting another recipe, they say, brings happiness. Try at least once.

Evaporated milk in a pasta? I have not heard of that. Happy New Year.

I also preferred tuna for my spaghetti aside from the usual beef meat and I like the taste. I put a little vinegar on the tuna to neutralized the taste of the fish.

I am not a fan of tuna at all, but glad you enjoyed it. I hate letting food go to waste.
