I am in need of some cook wares especially a 'Kadai'. I was using a non-stick one but its coats are getting removed so I would like to replace the same very quickly. I was searching online stores and got confused with the reviews. Should I go for steel products? Steel products I have at home, but not a good experience because it easily get burned. Non -stick products are aluminium products which are not recommended due to health issues. (I heard it aluminium is not good for cooking as we use salt and sour things in it) If I select steel products then it must be copper coated outside to protect from burning. I searched in flipkart and there are good deals but reviews are not satisfactory. I also searched in Naaptol which is tempting but their delivery charges are high. Really confused what to do? Any one can help me here to select good cookwares? (including the best online shop) Thank you.

I think stainless steel ones are better, though costly. I would certainly not recommend aluminium ones as they are not very healthy.

I am bit worried on aluminium as many are saying it is not good for cooking and it reacts badly if we add salt and tamarind.

Teflon coated ones cause cancer so buy enameled ones they are a bit expensive but they last.

I bought one set of non-stick (kadai, fry pan and dosa pan). Will look for steel in a market when I get time or I will go for iron utensils. Steel we have to get the thick bottom one otherwise it will burn easily on gas stove.
