Here in India the favourite sport is cricket, cricket and cricket. No other sport comes even closer in terms of popularity. Some say cricket is almost like a religion in India, and that India is doing very well in all forms of this game at international level has only given it more boost. I know most of you will not be very much conversant with cricket. Which is the favourite sport of your country?

Perhaps I should have been born in India! I have always loved the sport but never had the opportunity to play it in England.
I made the mistake of being out first ball during my first cricket lesson at school and was immediately relegated to playing "rounders", a status from which I never escaped. All subsequent attempts to join a cricket club were met with "what experience do you have?", to which the answer had to be "none". I have therefore played only four cricket matches during my life and my greatest ambition was to score a run - which I never managed to do!

@indexer Yes, Indians will be perpetually indebted to the English for gifting us this sport.

@louievill Do you play basketball? I feel the game is only meant for very tall people.

In Romania soccer is the king. But also gymnastics and handball, they get a nice share
.
When there was some cricket competition on tv, I used to change channel, but one time I said "Ok, let's give it a try". After one hour, I learned the rules and I actually liked it
