Towards the end of the first day of the year

This is what the evening of 1st January 2019 looked like on the south coast of England. This is the beach at Ferring in West Sussex. I used to live quite close to here (at Bognor Regis) and remember many evening like this.

Its beautiful. I would love to live close to the water so you could enjoy it every time you looked out your window. I life close to the water but I have to drive to get there. My dream is to someday own some waterfront property.

I spent most of my early life close to the sea, but then took a job that meant living about as far from the sea as you can get in this country! However, with the prospect of rising sea levels thanks to global warming, an inland home is maybe not such a bad idea!

@indexer I agree with that. We have been dealing with lots of flooding in this area too. It has gotten really bad that last few years.

That is a lovely gentle sunset on the last day of 2018 John. It is lovely to see photos like this showing such a pretty place. I live three miles from the sea and I can keen on coastal views. For my home I like the seaside style for my lounge and my bedroom. I love to walk along a seashore and see a sunset like that.
