What are some things nobody tells us about life?

I was thinking about this. That there are some things which nobody tells us about life but are realities.
I will give an example: There are no best friends in this world. No one gives even a glass of water without any intentions or expectation of fruit.
Although these are some hard hitting realities, we must still have a positive approach towards our lives.
What do you people think about this. What are some things nobody tells us about life?

Saving enough money so that you do not have to depend on anyone. That is something we come to know in our teens. No one feeds you, you earn whats in your destiny.

@boneysharAON That seems over-dramatic to me. How often have you encountered such situations in your life in which sacrificing one's life was asked for?

'Best' friends according to me are those who are ready to sacrifice their lives for me. If they cannot they are not 'best', but they are only 'friends'.

Here are what I can recall:
1. All people can be your friends. Some just Hi and bye then pass by you in your life and never meet anymore. Some reach you just to grab from temporary benefits, when you are no longer has the power, then they will disappear. Some "best friend" will get to know you and spread all your privacy towards other and they can do something harm to you. Lastly, true friends are rare who will stay and help you when you are in trouble, happy when one side is success.
2. When talk about money, every one will fly away, even they are your close family members or relatives.
