Political Solution for Spiritual Problem?

When Obama was in office, the remnant Christians said there's no political solution to America's problems, rather the solution was spiritual, as in JesusChrist, yet now with Trump, they say there is. What's changed?

Basically, the sincere ones that really are part of the body of Christ, rather than in name only.
