I first read the LOTR and Hobbit books in Bangkok Thailand in 1972. It was the English versions of the books and I fell hard for the Middle Earth. To this day, the two "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" are my all-time favorite books. What is your favorite book?

Mine would be the Da Vinci Code. I know it's kinda conversational because of it's religious aspects, but I enjoyed the way the author used real life events and things to support a conspiracy theory.

That is not a question I can easily answer. I could probably spend hours explaining why I like certain books and / or authors. If I had to choose... The Book of Fires by Jane Borodale It follows a young lady who runs away from home to save her family from scandal. She has fallen pregnant and is ashamed. She finds herself in London where she seeks shelter and employment with a pyrotechnic. You find yourself endeared to her and to her plight, and you grow to really admire and like the man who takes her in. Towards the end a secret the man has bene keeping is revealed and the life of the young girl is forever changed, her place in life secured by his generosity. Right Now I am reading : The Broken Girls by Simone St. James Simone St. James is a fabulous author. I've read all of her books. This one is a bit different from the rest of her books. It covers two time periods, the 1950's and 2014. She writes paranormal type mysteries and adds just the right amount of romance. She writes in such a way that a budding romance does not overshadow the plot of the book.

@TheHorse The Book of Fires is pretty good, it goes into a bit of Pyrotechnics as well. It's been awhile since I've read it. Simone St. James (The Broken Girls) is just pretty awesome all around.

My favorite all-time book is the Holy Bible. My favorite secular book is Space by James A. Michener "a fictionalized history of the United States space program, with a particular emphasis on manned spaceflight".
