Guten Tag from sunny Chatfield State Park, located in the Denver suburb of Littleton, and where we are in the midst of a 14 day camping adventure!
For the longest time here in Colorado, if you wanted to buy beer in a supermarket or convenience store, you had to buy 3.2 beer, which is beer that is only 3.2% alcohol by volume, which means that it is not as strong as real beer.
At the beginning of 2019, however, the law changed, and supermarkets and convenience stores are now allowed to sell full strength beer. And they are taking full advantage!
This morning, we were in a Safeway located just up the road from the reservoir where we are camping, getting some supplies. I was perusing the beer aisle, and they ain't just stocking cheapo beer alongside Coors Light and Bud Light. They are offering up a hell of a lot of locally brewed craft beer.
And as soon as I saw this particular beer, Death Before Disco, I just had to buy a six pack based on name alone!
Death Before Disco is a Porter brewed by Left-Hand Brewing Company in Longmont, Colorado. And oh my, it's really, really good! If you ever find yourself here in the Denver area, and you like beer, I highly recommend finding some.
In the meantime, enjoy one of the greatest disco songs ever recorded!

I probably should have kept one, but then I wouldn't have been able to drink it!
