Heavenly Pizza

I am sure that the very last place you would expect to have pizza would be at a church. If you are in New York City and touring Times Square you will see and smell the delicious aroma coming from John’s Pizza. What you probably don’t know is that the pizza place found its home in the former Gospel Tabernacle Church. Now pizza lovers can enjoy their pizza beneath the original chandeliers, an octagonal stained-glass ceiling and a balcony where once churchgoers sat enjoying a Sunday service. Just another secret held by Times Square that others might not know. Isn't that ceiling amazing?

That city has changed since I left!!! As a teenager I worked in the Lyric Theatre on 42nd Street--a second run movie house which now I understand has been all redone and is a BIG Broadway theatre playing hit musicals!!

That's interesting to know. If there were pizzas in the church, then it would be much more popular.

It is nice to know this fact. It would be nice to have them right after going to the church.

Love the ceiling! I wonder if the store charges more for their menu, it can't be cheap to rent this place.
